Lease Area Survey

A lease area survey defines the area of a portion of a property that is leased or rented or is to be leased or rented.

Typically, it is completed when the property owner wants to lease a portion of their property to another party, such as for retail or commercial purposes.

The lease plan, completed to the Property Council of Australia’s Method of Measurement for Lettable Area guidelines, is then used in lease agreements to define the boundaries, terms, position and size of the lease area and also establish the rights and responsibilities of each party.
